The Ultimate Travel Guide to Instagram-Worthy Spots in Nassau, Bahamas

If you’re in search of the perfect Nassau destination guide that offers a varsity of aesthetic photo opportunities and fun times with friends, then look no further. The city of Nassau is an ultimate tourist spot, especially if you’re from Florida. A quick hour and half flight and you’ve been transported to paradise. Below is my guide for the best Nassau travel guide and Instagram photo locations.

There is no better feeling like flying to a gorgeous island with crystal clear water and white sands, a slice of paradise if you ask me. Nassau is so easy to get around, everyone speaks English and they accept the US dollar, which makes traveling to the Bahamas so simple. While Nassau is a tourist destination, from visitors from around the world to cruise ship travelers, there are a ton of hidden gem spots.

1.) Versailles Gardens, Paradise Island

If you’re looking to feel like you’ve stepped into a European fairytale, I highly recommend visiting the Versailles Gardens. This incredibly romantic spot features a stunningly lush landscape arranged in a rectangular design, about 75 feet wide. The gardens stretch from the Four Seasons Ocean Club to the southern edge of the island, offering breathtaking views of Nassau Harbor. A lovely stone path, adorned with Bermuda grass, connects the terraces, enhancing the garden’s enchanting atmosphere.

2.) Cabbage Beach

If you’re looking to step into paradise with crystal-clear blue waters and soft white sands, be sure to visit Cabbage Beach after exploring the Versailles Gardens. I highly recommend the section of Cabbage Beach closest to the gardens, as it offers a more secluded experience away from the tourist crowds. This public beach is open daily and features a stunning two-mile stretch of white sand and refreshing turquoise waters—truly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and a favorite among many visitors to the Bahamas.

3.) Rose Island

Just a short boat ride from Nassau lies the stunning Rose Island. In the distance, you can spot yachts anchored against a backdrop of miles of beautiful, emerald-clear waters—arguably even more picturesque than Cabbage Beach, which is saying something! I highly recommend renting a boat with friends (we used Viator) to explore Rose Island. Our captain even took a break so we could go snorkeling in a spot teeming with vibrant, unique fish.

4.) The Queen’s Staircase

The Queen’s Staircase, often referred to as the 66 Steps, is a significant historical site in Nassau, situated within the Fort Fincastle Historic Complex. Carved from solid limestone in the 1700s, it was originally intended to provide a direct route from the Fort to Nassau. Over time, these steps were named in honor of Queen Victoria of England. This location offers a beautiful and picturesque backdrop, perfect for stunning photos.

5.) Snorkeling

For an authentic Bahamian experience, make sure to go snorkeling! Embrace the adventure and have fun in the crystal-clear waters, which offer some of the best snorkeling around. Notable spots include Gambier Deep Reef, Love Beach, Little Elvis Reef, and Nari Nari. If you’re not familiar with the Nassau area, consider booking a snorkeling tour through Viator. These tours provide all the necessary gear and take you to the top snorkeling locations.

6.) Clifton Heritage National Park

If you’re looking to discover the true essence of Nassau, make sure to visit Clifton Heritage National Park! This stunning destination showcases the area’s untouched natural beauty. If you love nature, swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, and snorkeling, you’ll be in paradise at Clifton Heritage National Park. Spanning 208 acres of pristine land, it’s perfect for exploration. Plus, it’s a noteworthy filming location, having hosted several movies, including Jaws and the Bond series.

As you plan your adventure in Nassau, remember that each of these incredible spots offers a unique glimpse into the vibrant culture and stunning beauty of the Bahamas. From the lively atmosphere of Arawak Cay to the serene shores of Cable Beach, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re indulging in local cuisine, exploring rich history, or simply soaking up the sun, Nassau promises unforgettable experiences that will linger in your memories long after you leave. So pack your bags, embrace the island vibes, and get ready for an unforgettable journey in this tropical paradise!
